GENERAL PURPOSE: Ensures that environmental health and safety
(EH&S) system requirements are established, implemented and
maintained for the site with conformance to the MillerKnoll
EH&S managements systems. Provides EH&S leadership,
coaching and technical support to the operations management team
for assigned location. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assure continuity and
consistency of corporate EH&S policies and procedures.
Collaborates with internal and external groups regarding process
changes impacting EH&S. Conduct training and develop trainers
of EHS content. Facilitate achievement of corporate and site
specific environmental and safety goals though specific site based
assignments or corporate scope projects. Identify, communicate, and
document regulatory requirements and compliance to various levels
of the organization from the shop floor to CEO level. Lead all site
EH&S programs that relate to the various government agencies
and industry certifications. Leads cross-functional project teams
and serve as a subject matter expert. Maintain site EH&S
performance records and reports performance to operations
management as required. Provide leadership and technical support to
EH&S committees and operations management teams. Additional

requested to achieve business objectives. QUALIFICATIONS: To

Skills and Abilities: Highly effective communication skills and
ability to interact with people of various social/economic
backgrounds, work experience and education levels. Demonstrated
ability to effectively use office automation/communication software
and tools used in the HMI office environment. Must be able to
perform all essential functions with or without accommodations.
Proven understanding and aptitude for manufacturing processes,
equipment and materials. In depth understanding Federal, State, and
Industry EH&S codes and regulations. Proven ability to
articulate clearly in both written and verbal form.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and
Health, Industrial Hygiene or related degree. Minimum of 10 years
Occupational Safety and Health experience. Certified Safety
Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Hazardous
Materials Manager (CHMM) or Certified Safety & Health Manager
(CSHM). Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are
